Five Texas Teenagers Killed in Weekend Crash

(KCEN) -- Five Texas teens are dead after their pick-up was hit by a semi truck.

It happened Sunday afternoon just north of Amarillo.

Investigators say the pick-up ran a stop sign and was hit by the 18-wheeler on the passenger side.

The driver of the truck was 16-year-old Jacob Paul Stripe. Stripe was killed, along with 17-year-old Derrek Lee Hager and 17-year-old Christopher Lee Moore.

Sisters October Dawn Roys, 17, and 15-year-old sister Elizabeth Kay Roys were also killed.

The driver of the semi, Ezequiel Garcia, was taken to the hospital in critical condition with severe burns.
