(KCEN) -- Lorena police, along with sheriff's deputies, are searching for suspects who ran from officers after a traffic stop.
It happened around 9:30 this morning when officers tried to pull over a red truck. The driver pulled over on the side of the highway, but when the officer got out of the car, the driver took off and drove over a construction site.
When the truck came to a stop, nine to ten people who police believe are illegal immigrants, jumped out of the vehicle and ran from police. This happened near Raymond's Southern Kitchen in Lorena.
Officers were able to apprehend four men and one woman but four or five more people have not yet been located.
Police say if you see anyone suspicious, call police. they are also asking residents to keep their doors locked.
