DFW Fastest Growing Metroplex in the Country - kcentv.com - KCEN HD - Waco, Temple, and Killeen

(KCEN) -- The DFW metroplex is the fastest growing metropolitan area in the country.

That's according to new numbers from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The region grew by almost 132,000 people between July of 2011 and 2012.

Houston and its suburbs took the second spot on the list, adding more than 125,000 people.

Texas is home to four of the fastest growing areas in the country.

Austin and Midland also cracked the top 10.
