One of Blue Angels Planes Retired at Fort Worth Airport

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- For nearly 60 years, the Blue Angels have dazzled crowds at air shows across the country.

Now, one of the Navy's retired jets will call Fort Worth's Meacham Airport home.

Blue Three hasn't flown since 2009, but has performed in Fort Worth before.

It took two days to transport the FA-18 from Pensacola, Fla. to Fort Worth.

And its expected to draw big crowds.

Eric Bartoletti, who lives in Fort Worth, said, "When I heard about it I said I have got to come down here today and see it. It's impressive."

The jet should be on display for the public to see in the next three to four weeks.
