(KCEN) -- If you bought a bowl of soup in February at any Chick-Fil-A in central Texas, then you helped feed the hungry today.
For every bowl of soup purchased last month, a bowl of soup was donated to the Salvation Army.
Through Chick-Fil-A's Soup for the Hungry Soul campaign, more than 3,800 servings of soup were donated to the Salvation Army of Central Texas.
Chick-Fil-A of Waco not only donated soup, sandwiches, cookies and drinks, but they served them as well.
Debbie Quarles, with the Chick-Fil-A of Waco, said, "It is wonderful to be able to bless our own local community in such a simple way."
Area Coordinator for the McLennan County Salvation Army Maj. Dan Ford said, "We'd love to see more businesses come alongside the Salvation Army to come help us alleviate the costs that it is to provide these types of services but also to get involved with us like Chick-Fil-A is getting involved with the hands-on approach."
Chick-Fil-A has been donating soup every year for the past three years.
Other Chick-Fil-A's in Temple, Harker Heights and Killeen donated soup or money to help their local Salvation Army services.
