(KCEN) -- Temple police are investigating the suspicious death of a man found yesterday.
Police officers received a report of a deceased person in a home on the 3100 block of Munroe Avenue.
The report came in at about 7:20 p.m. and officers were dispatched to the residence.
When they arrived, they found the body of 50-year-old Russell Hamby in his home.
Hamby was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace David Barfield and his body was sent for an autopsy.
Police are calling the death suspicious, but are not releasing any more information about his death. A press conference is being held at 2 p.m. where police will be releasing more information.
The Temple General Investigations Unit of the police department is investigating the incident.
