24-year-old Grace Lee, a graduate of Kelly High School in Beaumont, was killed in an accident on Interstate 10, east of Breaux Bridge. The accident happened in St. Martin Parish at around 3:30 p.m. Friday.

A State police spokesperson said a pickup, driven by 30-year-old Angel Zermeno of Brownsville, was on I-10 pulling two other vehicles.  The third vehicle, a 2005 Jeep Liberty, broke free, crossed the median and smashed into the oncoming car with the four Beaumont women.

Lee was in the back seat and was thrown out of the car.  Investigators say she was not wearing a seatbelt.
