Radioactive Material Discovered on Army Base

(KCEN) -- Radioactive materials were discovered on a Texas Army base.

Fort Bliss says some of its workers may have been exposed to radioactive residue, mostly uranium,  since the 1950's.

The source, is a building referred to as the "snake pit."

Officials say they do not believe there is any immediate health or safety risk.

    (BELL COUNTY) -- The Bell County Sheriff's Department says a man accused of sexually assaulting a child turned himself into deputies and is now in the Bell County Jail.Geary Glyn Shull, 30, faces a charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault. It comes after the Bell Co. Sheriff's Special Crimes Unit received a report of a sexual assault near Belton. An arrest warrant was issued for Shull's arrest on August 20th and he turned himself in on August 22nd. His bond was set at $50,000.More >>
