Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- A truck caught fire on I-35 in Bruceville-Eddy.

Around 11 a.m., an 18-wheeler caught fire in the northbound lanes of I-35 just south of exit 318.

The driver of the semi got a call on his radio that his truck was smoking.

He was then able to pull over and separate his truck from his load before the cab completely caught fire.

The driver suffered a slight burn but was okay.

He did say he smelled fuel before the fire.

There is still no official word on the cause.
