Neighborhood Watch Leader Connected to Dallas Rapes

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- New information on the serial rapist case in Dallas.

The head of neighborhood crime watch in south Dallas is now wanted in connection with one of those rapes.

DNA evidence apparently links 38-year-old Van Dralan Dixson to at least one of nine victims.

All the rapes have happened in the area near Fair Park.

A tenth sexual assault was reported over the weekend. Police are trying to determine if it is linked to the previous nine attacks.

In January, Dixson was made head of crime watch in the same area the attacks have taken place.

He has now disappeared, leaving his children with family members.

His car was found in a parking lot outside of Dallas.
