Six Flags Falling Death Lawsuit

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Six Flags Over Texas is being sued.

The lawsuit was filed by the family of Rosa Esparza who fell to her death while riding "The Texas Giant" on July 19.

They claim the roller coaster's safety security light system malfunctioned during Espaza's ride.

The family's attorney says he expects Six Flags will try to settle the suit quickly.

The family wants at least one-million dollars in damages.

The park plans to reopen the roller coaster this weekend.
