Motorcyclist Dies After Accident Friday Night

(KCEN) -- Officials arrived at the intersection of FM 93 and South 31st Street to a major motorcycle accident involving a GMC sports utility vehicle and a Honda motorcycle on Friday evening.

The GMC had been traveling east bound on FM 93 and attempted to turn left (northbound) on South 31st Street. The Honda motorcycle was traveling westbound on FM 93 and collided with the rear quarter panel of the sports utility vehicle.

The operator of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision and was transported to Scott & White Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The motorcyclist has been identified as 23-year-old William Truitt from Harker Heights. He later succumbed to the injuries received as a result of the collision.

Officials are currently investigating the collision.

    (BELL COUNTY) -- A judge ruled in favor of Bell County Sheriff Eddy Lange in a lawsuit that claimed he violated the first amendment rights of two of his deputies.The suit was filled in 2013 by former Bell Co.
