Skeletal Remains Found Between Crawford and Valley Mills

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- The McLennan County Sheriff's Office is investigating human skeletal remains discovered by landowners on a ranch between Crawford and Valley Mills.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the call around noon Saturday in the 500 block of Hogcreek Road.

Deputies found what they believe to be the skeletal remains of a 20-something year old male laying in a pasture.

Chief deputy Matt Cawthon says the remains look to have been there for about 2 months.

Cawthone says the department has tentatively identified the victim and is currently working on notifying family members.

The remains are being sent away for a forensics examination and to confirm the victims identity.
