More Rain Hinders Rescue Efforts

(KCEN) -- More search and rescue efforts are in effect as choppers continue to look for stranded victims in flood-damaged towns in Colorado.

Rescue crews scanned the washed-out areas for more than a thousand people still believed to be stranded by the flood waters.

Early estimates from emergency managers indicate more than 17,000 homes have been damaged.

More than 15,000 completely washed away.
