Seahawks Fans Some Of The Loudest

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Seattle Seahawks fans are happy with their team's 29-3 thrashing of the San Francisco 49ers, and a new world record to boot.

A fan group called Volume Twelve organized an effort to break the Guinness Book of World Records as the loudest stadium during last night's game.

Late in the first quarter the fans broke that record with a 131.9 decibel reading after a sack of the 49ers' quarterback.

Later in the game, the crowd got even louder during a goal line stand, reaching nearly 137 decibels.

The previous record was set in Turkey in 2011 during a soccer match.
