Two Arrested after Child was Found Wandering Street in Robinson

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Two children are now in the hands of Child Protective Services after one of them was found wandering a street in Robinson.

At around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, police received a call about a two-year-old boy wandering in the street in the 1300 block of East Rocket Road in Robinson.

Officers met with the man who called. The man had the child with him and explained what had happened. He said that when he found the child, the boy was alone and had a very dirty diaper.

During the investigation, neighbors pointed to a house where they believed the child lived.

When officers went to the home, they found a one-year-old girl in the back of the house, crying uncontrollably.

The children's grandparents were their legal guardians. Police were told that the grandparents left to drop off the oldest child, a seven-year-old boy, at school. They left the two children with their uncle, Keith A. Richards.

Crissina Dawn Luecke, who was with Keith, and Richards were arrested for child endangerment.

Luecke also had an outstanding drug-related warrant.

Children were released to their grandparents but then taken by CPS.
