(KCEN) -- A College Station woman is now in jail after allegedly paying for someone to murder her son's father.

On Wednesday, a man came to the police reporting than an acquaintance wanted to have someone kill the father of her child.

After investigating, detectives were able to obtain enough evidence to support this man's claim.

Undercover detectives arranged to meet with 33-year-old Nicolette Beard of College Station.

Once there, she made a down payment for the murder of her son's father.

After the exchange, the woman was taken into custody and charged with solicitation of capital murder.
