Fake Cop Sexual Assault Arrest In Houston

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) --- A Houston man is in jail tonight after posing as a cop and allegedly raping a woman who needed help.

Last week, a 31-year-old victim got a flat tire and pulled into a Houston Exxon.

That's when 46-year-old Francisco Ugarte approached the victim and flashed what looked like a police badge.

The victim said Ugarte then offered her a ride home.

Instead he took her to an empty parking garage and allegedly raped her.

Cops were able to track Ugarte down thanks to the store surveillance video that got a full shot of his car and license plate.
