Killeen Woman Stabbed After Early Morning Altercation

(KCEN) -- A Killeen woman is in the hospital after she was stabbed early Thursday morning.

At 4:45 on Thursday morning, Killeen Police were called to the hospital after a woman showed up with stabbing wounds.

Witnesses say that two women were arguing in the 600 block of West Avenue K. The arguing then lead to a physical altercation.

One of the women was stabbed. The other woman fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Metroplex Hospital in Killeen. She then was airlifted to Scott & White Hospital with life threatening injuries. The woman is expected to recover.

The suspect is in custody awaiting formal charges.
