Belton, Texas – Two University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football players have been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for their performances in the Cru's 63-7 victory over Hardin-Simmons University last Saturday in Abilene. Baylor Mullins was named to the Team of the Week defense and Chris Wimby was honored as a Special Teams player.

Mullins, a freshman linebacker from Merkel High School, led a UMHB defense that held the high-powered Hardin-Simmons offense to seven points and 180 yards of total offense. Mullins posted a team-high nine tackles, including seven solo stops. He also returned an interception 23 yards for his first collegiate touchdown to steal momentum from the Cowboys midway through the third quarter. Mullins added two pass break-ups and a half-tackle for loss in the game.

Wimby, a sophomore wide receiver/punt returner from Ranchview High School, returned a punt 71 yards for a touchdown and was a force in the return game all day. Wimby rolled up 142 return yards on six punt returns to average 23.7 yards per return. His 71-yard return is the sixth-longest punt return in UMHB history.

The Cru is now 7-0 overall and 3-0 in ASC play following the win over Hardin-Simmons. UMHB will return to action with a 1:00 PM home game against Howard Payne University (3-4, 1-2 ASC) this Saturday at Crusader Stadium.
