House Party Shooting Leaves One Dead In Houston

Posted: Updated:

(KPRC) --- One person died early Saturday morning after a fight broke out at a party in Southwest Houston.

Police said there were so many people at the party, the guests had spilled out into the front yard. Around 12:30 a.m., investigators said a car pulled up in front of the house on

Houston police said an argument started, and someone opened fire. Four of the guests were shot, and one of those party-goers died at the scene.

Investigators said the victims ranged between 16 and 19 years old.

After the gunmen opened fire, police said everyone scattered.

Two of the victims were shot in the leg, and left the scene in a car with a friend. Police originally believed they were the gunmen and pulled over the white Impala. When the officer realized they were victims, however, he sent the victims to the hospital.

Another victim ran away from the party to escape the shooters. They were picked up a few blocks away from the party and transported to the hospital.

The shooters were still on the run Saturday morning. Anyone with information is asked to call the Houston Police Department at (713) 884-3131.

A similar shooting happened the week before, on the night of November 9th. In both cases, the hosts promoted the party on social media sites.
