UMHB is the only American Southwest Conference program mentioned in the AFCA poll this week.

The Cru held steady at #3 in the country in the D3football.com Top 25 Poll. UMHB took two first place votes and 588 total points in that ranking. Mount Union claimed 18 first place votes and 616 total points for the #1 spot and Linfield College is second with five first-place votes and 592 total points. "We are excited to be in the postseason and excited about the things that we've accomplished so far this season," Cru Head Coach Pete Fredenburg said. "But we also have very high expectations and we know we have to keep our focus and be ready every week if we are going to reach the goals we have set for this program."

UMHB finished the regular season at 10-0 overall and posted a 6-0 mark in American Southwest Conference play on the season following a 56-30 victory over Mississippi College last Saturday in Clinton. UMHB will return to action with a First Round home game in the NCAA Division III National Championships. The Cru will host the University of Redlands (7-2, 7-0 SCIAC) in a 12:00 PM kickoff at Crusader Stadium. The game is a rematch of the 2013 season opener for both teams.
