Texas – Baylor's Odyssey Sims and Nina Davis were selected for Phillips
66 Big 12 Women's Basketball weekly honors, as chosen by a media panel.
Sims was honored for
the ninth time in her career and picked up her fourth player of the
week award. Davis received freshman honors for the second time this season.

Odyssey Sims, Baylor, G, Irving, Texas
Sims averaged 38 points, 4.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists in Baylor's two
games last week. She poured in a career-high 47 points in the Lady
Bears' quadruple overtime loss to No. 5 Kentucky
in a game played on a neutral court in Arlington, Texas. Her points
total ranks No. 2 on the Big 12's single-game scoring list and No. 3 on
Baylor's all-time list. Sims also added six assists, four rebounds and a
steal before fouling out in the first OT period.
She was 17-of-33 from the floor and 12-of-15 from the free-throw line.
The senior guard contributed 29 points and 13 assists in a win over San
Jose State. During the contest she became Baylor's all-time assists
leader and currently has 511. She is one of just
four Big 12 players in Conference history to score over 1,500 points
(1,719) and dish out over 500 assists.
Phillips 66 Big 12 Freshman of the Week
Nina Davis, Baylor, F, Memphis, Tenn.
Davis averaged 17.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in Baylor's two games last
week. She turned in a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds
against Kentucky in addition to four assists,
three steals and a block in 38 minutes of action. Against San Jose
State, the rookie forward tallied 15 points while shooting 6-for-10 from
the floor and 3-of-5 from the free-throw line. Davis is shooting a
league-leading 49-of-69 from the floor (.710) and
is averaging 15.8 points and 6.6 rebounds for the season.
