No. 9 WBB Rolls Past Houston Baptist, 100-57

WACO, Texas (AP)- Odyssey Sims had 25 points and seven assists, Nina Davis added 16 points and No. 9 Baylor beat Houston Baptist 100-57 on Sunday.

The Lady Bears extended their home court winning streak to a nation's-best 65 games. They were playing for the first time since a 133-130, four-overtime loss to No. 5 Kentucky at the Dallas Cowboys' stadium on Dec. 6.

Baylor (8-1) put the game out of reach with an early 22-4 run capped by consecutive layups by Sune Agbuke for a 28-9 lead.

Agbuke finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Davis shot 7-for-7 and Khadijiah Cave had 12 points.

Houston Baptist (3-5) had turnovers on six of its first 10 possessions.

Tayler Jefferson had 13 points for the Huskies, who played for the first time in 12 days. Shanice Steenholdt had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

• Baylor has won a nation's-best and school-record 65 straight home games, as its last loss at home came March 7, 2010, vs. Texas (70-54).
• Odyssey Sims extended her streak of double-digit scoring to 19 games. Sims was last held to single-digits vs. UCONN, Feb. 18 when she had 9.
• With 25 points, Sims (1,744 points) moved into the No. 7 spot on the all-time Baylor scoring list, passing LaNita Luckey (1988-92).
• Freshman Nina Davis' 16 points helped her reach double figures in each of her first nine collegiate games.
• Sune Agbuke had 10 points and 14 rebounds to notch her 3rd career double-double (2nd this season).
• Khadijiah Cave scored 12 points for her 3rd career game in double-figures.
• In her first time all season of being available for a full game after recovering from an injury, Alexis Prince tallied 9 points and 3 rebounds.

Baylor's bench scored 49 points compared to Houston Baptist's 15.
