Seahawks humble about Super Bowl win

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Everyone is talking about how the Seattle Seahawks shut down Peyton Manning and company in yesterday's Super Bowl.

It wasn't even close with the favored Denver Broncos falling 43-8 to the Seahawks.

Today Head Coach Pete Carroll and Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith talked about the win, with both of them remaining humble.

"One of the things that happens so often is teams have a big fall out after they win the Super Bowl and we're not in that situation. We'll be battling to compete but we don't need to be in that situation," Carroll said.

Aside from a Super Bowl win, MVP Malcolm Smith also won a Chevrolet Silverado pick up truck and a shiny trophy for his efforts.
