UPDATE: Feb. 4, 2014, 2:15 p.m. -- The Waco Police have arrested a second man on Tuesday in connection with the murder of Leslie David Lee.

Waco Police Department had requested a second warrant for 23-year-old Texavia Rashun Ervin.

At 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Ervin was arrested by the U.S. Marshal Task Force in the 3200 block of north 25th.

Ervin was taken into custody without incident and transported to the McLennan County Jail.


(KCEN) -- A Waco man was arrested on Monday after a he killed a man in October 2013.

The U.S. Marshal Task Force arrested 23-year-old Danny Lee Byrd in the 1900 block of Reuter on Monday.

Byrd was wanted on a Capital Murder warrant for the death of 44-year-old Leslie David Lee.

Lee was murdered on October 26, 2013 in the 2500 block of Ethel. Police say that this was after a drug deal that went bad.

Byrd was transported to the McLennan County Jail Monday afternoon.

Police say that this case is still under investigation.
