Get Free Dental Work in Hewitt Saturday

Posted: Updated:

Got a cavity?

A Hewitt dentist's office will take care of it for free on Saturday. Central Texas Dental Care is once again offering free services to central Texans this weekend.

In 2012, "Smiles for You" served 171 patients, resulting in around $35,000 in free care.

"There's been a need in this area for dental care for a long time, a lot of unmet need," said Dr. Monte Cooper, a dentist at the clinic. "This profession has blessed us in a lot of ways, and ... we just feel like this is the best thing we can do."

"There's really no special requirements except to get here early," added Dr. Dale Williams, who founded the clinic three decades ago, "because we can only see so many. It is a wonderful day for everybody. Everybody feels good when we're done."

The free dental day starts Saturday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 a.m.

You can get a cleaning, a filling, or have a tooth pulled for free.

They'll serve the first 100 people in line, or as many as they can by 4 p.m.

You must be 18 years or older to qualify.
