Fatal House Fire In Salado

(KCEN) -- The Bell County Fire Marshal's office is investigating a deadly house fire in Salado Wednesday night.

The fire was first reported by neighbors just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 11,000 block of Irene Lane. 

The victim, 30-year-old Alejandro Torres Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene.  

Bell County Fire Marshal Steve Casey said the fire is believed to have started in Torres' bedroom. 

No smoke detectors were found in the home. 

The investigation is ongoing, pending the results of an autopsy.
