Junior Achievement program helps students learn about the business of professional sports

HOUSTON, Feb. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, February 12th, more than 500 area high school students representing 20 schools will have the opportunity to experience sports management. From pre-game to post-game at Toyota Center, an experiential program called JA Job Shadow will offer students an up-close look at business side of professional sports administration by shadowing staff members from the Houston Rockets and Toyota Center organizations.

JA Job Shadow with the Rockets will include presentations from different departments of the Rockets and Toyota Center staff, a shoot around during the team's pre-game practice, and the opportunity to attend the game later that evening.

Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas provides resources and programs, that bridge educational experience that take place in the classroom with the workplace, and adult life. JA Job Shadow is a proven-effective program that engages students in interactions with experienced professionals and the world of work.
