KCEN Chief Meteorologist Raises Most Money For Waco Red Kettles

Posted: Updated:

KCEN Chief meteorologist Andy Andersen got some extra attention early Thursday afternoon. He raised the most money of any individual during the Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign in Waco.

At a luncheon Thursday, the Salvation Army gave Andy a plaque for his hard work.

He brought in more than $424 on his own.

The charity group also recognized other stand-out bell-ringers: Fidelis Lodge raised the most for a group -- almost $2,500.

They beat out the long-time champs, the Marine Corps League, who brought in more than $2,100 this year.

In all, the Waco Salvation Army raised $124,000, unfortunately well short of their $200,000 goal.
