BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Feb. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Who:
Rain for Rent has been serving the agricultural community in California since 1934. Through the decades, we've made many friends in the community, partnering with growers to provide effective, efficient irrigation systems. This drought affects us all and we want to help farmers get through it as painlessly as possible.

Rain for Rent offers a variety of products and services from pumps, pipe, tanks, and filtration systems for industrial applications to ag pipe, pumps, and irrigation systems for farmers. Our irrigation systems include pivots, drip systems, and sprinkler pipe to name just a few. Many farmers are turning to more efficient irrigation methods at this time such as pivot and drip systems. Temporary sprinkler systems are also popular- to pre-wet the ground to help seeds germinate. For farmers with extensive solid set sprinkler systems, Rain for Rent offers efficient alternatives to brass impact sprinklers that can offer water savings without the expense of changing the entire irrigation system.

Rain for Rent also provides temporary high-flow pumps for bypass applications, when irrigation and water districts need to move large amounts of water in a short period of time.

What: Drought efficient irrigation methods

  • We help growers with irrigation design, making adjustment suggestions to make it more efficient.
  • Rain for Rent can walk the fields with growers, identifying irrigation inefficiencies and offering solutions- whether its leaky gaskets or malfunctioning sprinklers.
  • We have local Ag Branch Resources available to help
  • We have our Ag Irrigation Stores open six days a week, including Saturdays, to help
