(KCEN) -- The building where Nidal Hasan killed 13 and wounded 32 others is no longer standing.

Fort Hood completed demolition of the Soldier Readiness Building earlier on Tuesday.

On November 5, 2009 Nidal Hasan walked into that building and opened fire on U.S. troops inside.

Thirteen people died and 32 were injured in what is now being called the worst mass shooting on a military post.

Fort Hood plans to plant trees, install a gazebo and mark the site with a remembrance plaque.

All other buildings in the area will soon return to normal SRP operations.
