(KCEN) -- Two people were arrested after police caught them burglarizing a house.

On Wednesday at 4 p.m., Bell County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported suspicious vehicle in the 3100 block of FM 438 east of Temple in Bell County.

Upon arrival, officials observed a pickup truck parked at the rear of residence loaded with what appeared to be household items and electrical wire.

When the officer approached the house, 49-year-old David Allen Folger exited the residence carrying household items. Folger stated that his girlfriend, 55-year-old Martha Hernandez Morales, was still inside the house.

Morales and Folger later admitted to officers that they did not know who lived in the house and that the items they were carrying were not theirs.

Police arrested Morales and Folger for Burglary of a Habitation and were placed in the Bell County Jail.
