Waco Driver, Son Escape Injury After Crashing Into Utility Pole

Posted: Updated:

A woman and her son escaped injury Tuesday morning after crashing into a utility pole.

It happened around 7:45 a.m. on New Road, between Windsor Avenue and Cumberland Avenue in Waco.

The driver said another car cut her off, and she swerved off the road to avoid a crash.

Her pickup truck hit a utility pole, and broke a guide wire.

Oncor inspected the pole to make sure it was safe.

Neither the woman nor her 16-year-old son was injured in the crash.

The truck was new, and took extensive front-end damage.
