Dallas, TX, USA – March 12, 2014 /MarketersMedia/ —

NoteSchool, a training organization that provides education to real estate note investors, in partnership with Colonial Funding Group and Colonial Capital Management, recently raised $91,065 for the Montague County (TX) Child Welfare Board. These funds will flow directly into much-needed programs to support children and families in one of Texas’ most impoverished areas.

NoteSchool’s founder, Mr. W. Eddie Speed, is quoted as saying, “We are fortunate in that members of our community have done very well in the note business in recent years, and we try to instill the importance of giving back to our local communities. When I heard about the great need for support of the programs for children and families in Montague County, I decided to organize a fundraiser at our annual Mentoring Appreciation Event. I knew going into it how generous our community was, but raising over $90,000 exceeded my highest expectations. I’m proud of the NoteSchool community for stepping up and supporting this worthy cause.”

Lorra Lierly, M.Ed, Chairman of the Montague County Child Welfare Board, stated that she was “grateful, thankful, honored, amazed, overwhelmed and humbled at the amount of support we have received from the NoteSchool Charity Event.”

Ms. Lierly went on to state that: “This is an outstanding group of individuals who obviously care very deeply about children and their welfare! The Child Welfare Board uses these funds to support foster families and other families who are involved with CPS’s family based services. We do this by providing for the needs of the children in these families, everything from basic needs like clothing, beds and bedding, transportation, utilities, daycare, and back to school supplies to the extras that make them feel like a normal child.

“Since drug abuse is the number one reason children are removed from their homes in Montague County, we also provide drug education and awareness programs in the seven school districts in the county. The Board pays for a counselor to work with children who are victims of abuse; however, due to her limited time slots, there were children she could not see. Thanks to the generosity of NoteSchool, we have been able to add an extra day per week of counseling.

“Our big goal is to work on a plan to help these children go to college or a trade school to insure that they have a chance to become a productive member of society and not fall back in to the cycle of abuse and neglect that they came from. Charity events like this are making all of these things possible and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts!”
