The goals of this program are to improve diagnosis and treatment of pediatric urologic conditions. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:

2. Apply national and international guidelines and evidence from major clinical trials to manage a patient with VUR.

3. Calculate the risk for breakthrough infection in a child with VUR based on demographic and clinical characteristics.

4. Review the medical indications and contraindications for circumcision as well as the benefits of circumcision as stated by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

5. Use the AAP statement during counseling of parents about circumcision of their newborns.
