Barkerville Provides Update on 2nd Tranche of Private Placement

Vancouver, BC / ACCESSWIRE / March 19 2014 / Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. (“Barkerville” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that, with the recent closing by the Company of the initial tranche of its previously announced non-brokered private placement (the “Private Placement”) of 8,830,000 shares (each a “Share”) of the Company, at a subscription price of $0.50 per Share, and for gross proceeds of $4,415,000, the Company has now received additional expressions of interest from certain investors, and respecting subscriptions for not less than a further 3,840,000 Shares, or $2,020,000 in gross proceeds, and, accordingly, has now determined to extend the final closing of its Private Placement to not later than April 1, 2014. The Company is also providing an update on the Shares for Debt Settlement announced on February 28, 2014; to date the Company has received commitments from creditors to convert an aggregate total of $1,500,000 in debt into Shares at a deemed price of $0.50 per Share, subject to the approval of the TSXV.

Additional finders’ fees may be paid in conjunction with additional closings under the Private Placement, and the net proceeds from the same will continue to be used by the Company for general corporate and working capital purposes.

About Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd.

The Company has focused on exploration and development of gold projects in the Cariboo Mining District in central B.C from the mid-1990s to present. The Company’s mineral tenures cover 1,164 km2 along a strike length of 60 km and approximate width of 20 km, including the Cariboo Gold Project, the Bonanza Ledge Gold Project, the Barkerville Mountain and Island Mountain exploration targets and seven past producing hard rock mines.
