Focus MD Inc to Be Featured on 21st Century Television Series On April 19th , 2014

Posted: Updated:

Boca Raton, FL April 15, 2014 — Focus MD will be featured on 21st Century Television on Fox Business Network (as pd. prog.) on April 19, 2014 at 4:30pm EST.

The American Psychiatric Association states in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR) that 3%-7% of school-aged children have ADHD. However, studies have estimated higher rates in community samples.

The need for a better solution to ADHD has never been greater. Though the disorder is nothing new (it was first described by a poet/physician in the 1800′s) more families than ever are concerned about a loved one being affected. In recent years there has been great advancement in medical technology used to test for ADHD. The pairing of qualified, experienced medical doctors with these new technological testing systems gave birth to the first Focus.

Focus’s new solution for the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD looks at the whole patient, rather than just writing a prescription based on various symptoms that may or may not indicate ADHD. Their clinics are staffed by practicing medical doctors who take time to listen to the patient, then use their experience and cutting edge technology to correctly diagnose and treat ADHD.

JL Haber, Vice President of Programming at 21st Century Television, added, “The diagnosis of ADHD is often inconsistent. Focus MD/CADA’s revolutionary process can help children and families of all income levels. We are proud to feature them on our program.”

About Focus MD

Focus is a medical practice for children and adults with ADHD and related problems. Dr. James Wiley started Focus so that he would have more time to devote to the diagnosis and treatment of these patients. Focus provides objective testing, medical treatment as well as behavior modification strategies.

The evaluation begins before the first visit. Focus’ experienced staff walks the patient and their family through the process of getting the rating forms and assessments needed. At the first visit the patient and his/her family will spend approximately an hour with the doctor so that he/she can take a careful history and perform a physical examination. Computer assisted testing will be done as well so the entire visit will last 1 to 2 hours. Before the patient leaves the first visit, your doctor will review the findings, make a preliminary diagnosis and provide a treatment plan.

(KCEN) – While the homeless veteran count is dropping nationwide, Killeen and Temple are seeing a spike in the number of homeless veterans – and it's not just individual veterans. “We're seeing more homeless families, and we've seen an increase in that over the last few months because of the downsizing of the military,” Paula Wood said. “It's very sad to look a family in the eye and say do you have a friend or family member you can stay with because it's going to take a month to get you re-ho...More >>

(NBC) -- A federal judge Friday threw out new Texas abortion restrictions that would have effectively closed more than a dozen clinics in the state. U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel sided with clinics that sued over one of the most disputed measures of a sweeping anti-abortion bill signed by Republican Gov. Rick Perry in 2013. The ruling stops new restrictions that would have left just seven abortion facilities open in Texas by Sept. 1; there are currently 19 providers in Texas, according to th...More >>
