(KCEN) -- A second set of human skeletal remains found in September have been identified by the Hewitt Police Department.

A DNA sample test at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences received a positive identification for 44-year-old Pedro Ruiz-Melchor of Arkansas.

The other set of remains were identified in January as 44-year-old Erasmo Guillen-Ruiz.

Both victims were found on Sept. 6th after a caller notified the Hewitt Police Department that two sets of human skeletons were located in a heavily wooded area around his property.

Both deaths have been listed as homicides. The case is open and is actively being pursued by the Hewitt Police Department. Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to contact the Hewitt P.D. at (254) 666-6272.
