High customer retention, employee education and culture club cited as initiatives that foster employee engagement

NEWTON, Mass., May 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Becker's Hospital Review announced yesterday that Curaspan, the industry leader in patient-transition solutions, has been named to its list of 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare. The list is compiled annually to recognize healthcare organizations that "go above and beyond for their employees and are great places to work." Curaspan is one of the few software companies to make the list, which previously included only provider organizations. The company's 98% customer retention rate, its employee education program – Curaspan University – and regular employee engagement activities planned by the Curaspan culture club were highlighted by Becker's.

Curaspan's best-in-breed transition of care solutions connect providers, payers and suppliers via secure electronic networks to optimize collaboration and results as patients move between care settings.

"We are thrilled to be included on Becker's list and are excited that the work that we have put into the employee experience is being recognized," stated Amy Kruglak, Vice President of Human Resources at Curaspan. "As the company has continued to rapidly grow, we have worked hard to ensure that our culture, values and employee engagement remain a priority. Being on this list with our customers and other, larger HIT vendors is a huge achievement for us."

Founded in 1999 by two entrepreneurs with a desire to work with exceptional people to solve difficult problems, Curaspan was the first company to automate the patient-transition process. Since then, the company has grown in size and scope, building secure electronic networks across the country that allow healthcare providers to collaborate during the patient-transition process to improve patient care, reduce readmissions and optimize efficiency.  By working closely with customers, Curaspan consistently enhances its offerings to meet their needs. This includes the recent enhancement of DischargeCentral®, which is now compliant with ONC 2014 Edition criteria and will help customers use their existing workflow to satisfy Meaningful Use, Core Measure 12 requirements.
