25th Annual Manny Awards Honor the Industry's Best in Healthcare Advertising

HORSHAM, Pa., May 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dudnyk, an independently owned, healthcare and medical advertising agency amazed the healthcare advertising community when it became the first Philadelphia-area firm to win "Most Creative Agency" at the 25th Annual Manny Awards hosted by Med Ad News in New York City. Considered one of the most prestigious awards, Dudnyk's creative team accepted the honor in front of more than 600 people at the April 24th event.

In an area better known for its cheesesteaks - the Horsham-PA firm competed with agencies from across the country, many twice its size, to become one of a handful of finalists and ultimately, the "most creative" winner.

"Years ago we set out to become the most creative shop in our industry, and this award solidifies the fact that we've reached our goal," said Frank X Powers, President of Dudnyk. "It's a special win for our employees and the clients who trusted and supported our work."

The winning submission represented campaigns targeted at specialty physicians for drugs and devices that treat patients who have rare diseases: a pediatric oncology drug, a prophylactic treatment for hereditary angioedema, a new device to detect Sjogren's syndrome in patients with dry eye, and a disease-state education campaign for Sjogren's syndrome.

The Manny Awards is an annual award ceremony hosted by Med Ad News, a 30-year old publication that is the pharmaceutical industry's publication of record.  Held in New York City, the black-tie gala pays homage to the talents of the industry's best.  Dudnyk was recognized in three categories at this year's 25th annual event: Most Creative Agency, Best Self Promotion Campaign, and Best Medical Device Campaign.

"It's the yardstick by which all agencies in healthcare are judged," Powers said.  "That's how coveted the Manny awards are in our industry."

Dudnyk (www.dudnyk.com) has approximately 70 employees with offices in Horsham and San Francisco. The agency has served clients in the biotech, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries since 1993.  With powerful strategic insights and bold, differentiating creative, the company creates targeted brand experiences that drive behavioral change among specialty physicians and their patients.

In Philadelphia, the agency is well known locally for its charitable work with the March of Dimes Philadelphia Chapter, LEADERSHIP Philadelphia, which connects leaders in the private sector with the community, and its work with The Pathway School for children with neurological impairment, including autism spectrum disorders.
