(KCEN) -- An Amber Alert has been issued for a two-month-old from North Texas.

Stephenville Police say that a two-month-old child was abducted at 10 a.m. on Friday morning.

The child was taken from a Stephenville home in the 1200 block of Kight Street.

Officials say the child’s mother had just pulled up to their residence in their car and was unloading another child. The two-month-old was still in the car seat, but it was unbuckled. When the suspect walked up, she grabbed the infant from inside the car and ran off.

Police say that there is no known connection between the suspect or the child and that the suspect appeared to be a stranger.

The child is described as a white female, wearing a dark blue onesie with red and white stars. The child has a red bow in her hair.

The suspect is described as a white female, late 30's to early 40's, 200-300 pounds, and having shoulder-length light brown or dark blonde hair. The suspect's hair was pulled back, and she was wearing a black or blue bandana in her hair. She's also wearing a long sleeve white top, that may be a sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

The suspect was last seen running on foot with the child in the 1200 block of N. Kight Street in Stephenville.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
