Killeen Boy Seriously Injured In Accident

 KCEN -- A young Killeen boy is in critical condition after he was hit by truck while riding his bike.
 
The accident happened just after 6 pm on Wednesday at the intersection of  Nessy Drive and Cessnock Drive.

 According to the Killeen Police Department, the eight year-old was riding his bike, ran through a stop sign and was hit by a black pick-up truck.

 The boy was taken to Darnell Army Medical Center, but was later transported by helicopter to McLane Children's Hospital in Temple.

 Police said the boy was not wearing a helmet.

 The driver of the truck was not injured.

 No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
