Bryan Shooting Leaves One Man Dead

(KCEN) -- A Bryan man is dead after a shooting that occurred on the 1300 block of Groesbeck St. around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday.

24-year-old Jose Guardado was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in critical condition from a gunshot wound he received during the incident.

He later died from his injuries Saturday night.

The Bryan Investigation Division and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene. A suspect had fled before officials arrived.

The suspect was located a short time later and arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He has been identified as 50-year-old Joe Becerra of Bryan.

Officials report both men knew each other.
