UPDATE: Victim Identified, More Details Releasd on Saturday Bryan Fatal Accident

(KCEN) -- UPDATE: An investigation released by the Bryan Police Department reports a 21-year-old male was operating the pedals of the vehicle involved in Saturday morning's crash while a 22-year-old female steered the wheel while sitting in his lap.

A third passenger in the vehicle has been identified as 23-year-old German Rodarte of Bryan.

Rodarte was transported to St. Joseph Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The male and female were also transported to St. Joseph Hospital where they were later released.

The investigation is still looking into whether or not alcohol played a role in the accident.


(KCEN) -- Bryan Police responded to a major accident Saturday morning at 6:15 at the 200 block of Hilton Rd. near Sandy Point.

Officials report a vehicle went off the road, striking a tree and a pipe fence.

One passenger in the vehicle has been confirmed dead.

The driver and the second passenger are currently listed in stable condition at St. Joseph Hospital.

The identities of those involved in the crash are being withheld at this time.
