Fort Hood Prostitution Ring Trial Begins Tuesday

(KCEN) -- A Fort Hood soldier is set to go on trial on Tuesday.

He is accused of taking part in a prostitution ring on post.

Sergeant First Class Gregory McQueen is charged with 21 counts related to abusive sexual contact, pandering, conspiracy, maltreatment of a subordinate, adultery and bringing discredit to the Armed Forces.

This is related to the Master Sergeant Brad Grimes case in which grimes was found guilty of attempting to pay a female subordinate for sex in February of 2013.

    Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott filed an appeal on Tuesday to uphold the state's same-sex marriage ban.The ban was ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge in February. According to the brief, Abbott said Texas can ban same-sex marriage based on Texas's interest in procreation.
