Caught on Camera: Woman With Gun Watches Girls Fight in Killeen, Then Joins In

Posted: Updated:
(KCEN) -- Caught on camera: two girls fighting, before a woman with a gun joins the fray. It happened right here in Bell County, and now police are looking at possible charges.

We heard again and again from people Wednesday the situation was just mishandled.

Two small girls coming to blows, while spectators egg them on.

The video, reportedly shot over the weekend, was given to KCEN exclusively. It starts off pretty slowly. Two girls square off in what appears to be a backyard in Killeen.

They move toward each other, and the fists fly.

The fight gets worse; that's when a woman watching decides to jump in.

She pulls one girl off the other, and throws a few punches of her own. The girl can be heard shrieking when she's pulled off the other.

"They shouldn't be doing that," Kenneth Castro, of Harker Heights, said. We showed him our video; as a parent of a teenager, he's shocked by the original fight.

"They can work it out another way by ignoring the problem or staying away from each other," he said.

Even more appalling to people we talked to was the woman watching getting involved.

"Why is she not stopping this?" one woman said while watching the video. "Because she's encouraging it," said another woman watching with her. "She's letting it happen."

"She could have spoken with them both and maybe come to some kind of a reason," said Ramona Johnson of Copperas Cove.

It's hard to see in the video, but in pictures sent to us, you can even see a handgun tucked into the woman's pants.

"That's not cool," one viewer said. "That's not cool."

"She just was promoting violence," said Onyinoie Agwunobi, of Killeen.

We don't yet know what led to the original fight, or who all is involved. But we did send the video over to The Killeen Police Department.

"I really hope that the authorities can get involved," Castro said.

KPD tells us charges have been filed and they're investigating. They couldn't confirm any other details this early on, but said possible charges could include assault.

An off-camera spectator can be heard before the fighting starts saying, "You should never fight over a guy in the first place." One of the girls throwing punches responds, "I'm not. She brought it up."

To Johnson, the violence is all too common. "That's where we are in society today," she said. "We have too much of ... those kinds of things happening."

"If you're going to jump in and hit that child, no, you're encouraging it," one woman said.

The video cuts out after the woman throws several punches.

"I've been in that situation myself," Agwunobi said, "and the more the people around edge it on, they promote that violence."

You can hear several people in the background in the video, cheering on one of the girls.

"You can agree to disagree, but favorably. Not in an ugly way," Johnson said.

KPD says no arrests have been made in this case.
