(KCEN) -- The remains were found by volunteer crews with Search Dog Network of Bryan and Sheriff's Deputies.

Officials conducted a search in wooded areas north of Milam County Rd. 102 for28-year-old Travis Curry.

Curry had been reported missing about five weeks ago when officers were investigating a burglary in the 1400 block of County Rd. 112. Curry reportedly went into the home, left most of his clothes there and then fled into a surrounding wooded area.

The remains of a single person were found four hours into the search.

Officials have notified Curry's immediate family about the remains but are not confirming the identity until forensic analysis is conducted.

Those remains have been transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
