(KCEN) -- Witnesses are being credited for stopping four suspects from trying to steal from a local HEB around 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Officials report the four suspects went into the HEB on Valley Mills in Waco and allegedly stole nearly $3,000 worth of DVD's.

Store security saw the suspects as they got into their car and tried to stop them.  That's when a witness tried to block the fleeing car in.

Cops say the suspects started to ram the witnesses car and threatened to shoot them just as cops arrived.

33-year-old June Horton, 34-year-old Curtis Mackey, 27-year-old Deaundra Rivers and a juvenile were all arrested and remain in jail Monday night.

Investigators believe the four were also involved in a string of HEB robberies in Woodway and Belton.
