SAN BERNARDINO & HIGH DESERT, Calif., June 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of the Interstate 15 (I-15) Cajon Pass Rehabilitation Project, Northbound lanes on the I-15 from Highway 138 to Oak Hill Road will be reduced down to four lanes beginning Sunday, June 15th.

As part of the project's safety effort to maintain shoulder access during construction, crews will be re-striping lanes on the I-15 converting the five-lane stretch to four lanes to maintain shoulder access for emergency responders.  In anticipation of the 4th of July holiday weekend traffic flow, Northbound lanes will temporarily revert back to five lanes during this time and return to four lanes on July 7th until early December 2014.

Traffic re-striping will begin Sunday June 15th and end by Wednesday June 18th. Construction work will be conducted overnight between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. NOTE: Information disclosed is subject to change due to inclement weather conditions, equipment problems, or emergency situations.
